Larry Jordan's Soling is taking shape...finally! When Scott Davis says it takes three days to build one of these Victor jobs, multiple by about five or so.
Larry puts on the NC State racing stripes using a heat gun...hmmm...wife's hair dryer...to make them stick. Donna is definitely a part of this project.
Final wind tunnel testing with the wife's fan...great stuff you can't do with a J/22 in the living room!!
Bill Wiggins' Soling turned turtle with painting in progress...looks a little professional to me...who really did this work? Was this a West Marine contract job?
Tripp Ingle's boat shortly before it was attached by a hungry pack of R/C builders: Harry Ingle, Jack Young and Larry Jordan.
Harry and Jack sure know how to thread that luff wire through the mast...wish I had such a fancy rig!
And move it did...from bedroom/shop to pool for the float test. Jack is leaning a little to simulate the rake of the mast.
Harry's wife, Geri, will be real happy when this mess moves out of Tripp's bedroom (read that as shop)!
Hey Harry, why the big grin? Do you know something about this boat that we don't...but should? Or are you trying to sail the dock? Hey, this guy has real sail battens. Should we review his PHRF?
