It is the responsibility of the CYC Whaler skipper to understand and comply with the local, North Carolina and South Carolina state laws and the Federal laws that govern the use of power boats that are 28 feet in length on Lake Wylie.
Catawba Yacht Club is not responsible for any damages or injuries resulting from violation of state, local or Federal laws.
It is the responsibility of the skipper to ensure the CYC Whaler has all necessary safety equipment on board and the safety euipment is in working condition before each usage.
It is the responsibility of the skipper to understand and comply with the CYC Whaler Usage and Operations Instructions. Catawba Yacht Club is not responsible for any damages or injuries resulting from improper use or operation of the CYC Whaler.
It is the responsibility of the skipper to return to the Club and secure the Whaler if he/she feel the weather conditions are not apropriate for the boat or its occupants.
All children under 10 years of age are required to wear Coast Guard approved lifejackets.
