Rowing
In 1991, CYC's interest in water activities broadened to include rowing. The CYC rowing program is now the most active in the Charlotte area.

There are several different rowing programs at CYC.  Members can keep their boats in the boathouse, and row off of the convenient rowing docks.  Click here for pictures of our rowing facilities.  Members often row together for fun, and compete in various regattas.

Attention CYC Members!! John Zinkievich is willing to train members who want to learn how to row.  Please to contact John if you're interested.

Non-members can join the CYC Masters team.  This group competes in various regattas around the southeast.  This group is open to people 27 years and older who know how to row, and are interested in competing.  Seasonal dues are $250, and you can row using club shells during the scheduled practice sessions on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings between March and November.  to send a message to Bob and Dick Fuller - who coordiate the CYC Masters.

This year, the CYC board voted to continue supporting the West Blvd YMCA youth rowing program. This program teaches high-school aged women how to row, and competes in various regattas in the southeastern US.  Click on the button to get more information about the WestSide YMCA teen girls program.
