Welcome to the home of Vanguard 15 Fleet 66. We are based out of Catawba Yacht Club, on Lake Wylie. Our facility is very convenient as it is only twenty-five minutes from south Charlotte.
Over the past three years, our fleet has grown from a single boat to six boats. And, we are still growing. There are a number of sailors that have moved into the Charlotte Region that are beginning to show their faces around the club.
Our fleet has become very active in the past year. We have started traveling to other dinghy events in the and around the Carolinas. This fall, we have implemented a traveling circuit to help promote the Vanguard 15. The "Southern Swing" will take us as far north as Lake Norman and as far south as New Orleans, LA. Gulfstream Marine has donated the use of a Trailer/Van setup that can transport up to five boats and gear.
